Ghana Union Ireland to Celebrate Ghana's Independence Day 2026

Ghana Union Ireland is proud to announce the celebration of Ghana’s Independence Day on Saturday, 7th March 2026, marking another historic milestone in Ghana’s journey as the first sub-Saharan African nation to gain independence in 1957.

The 2026 Independence Day celebration will bring together Ghanaians living across Ireland, friends of Ghana, community leaders, and partners to commemorate Ghana’s rich history, resilience, and progress while reaffirming shared values of unity, cultural pride, and community development.

The event will serve as a platform to:
